FENUGREEKLEAVES WITH MOONGDHAL/KEERAI.KOTTU


This is My Contribution to Pooja's this week vegetable.I'm really glad to participate in this.




Ingredients:

Fenugreek leaves ---1 bunch
Moongdhal- 1/3cup
Onion chopped-1/3cup
Green chilly-1(optional)
Garlic-2flakes
Salt-as per taste
Coconut-little
For Seasoning:
Oil-little
Mustard seeds
Redchilly-1
Broken urad dhal
Hing

Method

First boil the dhal and keep aside(not to be over cooked)

Then in pressure pan,boil leaves with onion, garlic,greenchilly in very little water(TO PREVENT THE LOSS OF NUTRIENTS).

Once the pressure settle down,mix both the ingredients,keep in low flame for 5-10minutes.
Meantime season the ingredients given in the above list, add to the receipe.

Finally add coconut and gently mix,off the stove...

You can serve it with Ghee and Hot rice...

LUNCH FOR THE GUEST




Last week we have invited my hubby's collegues for lunch.They enjoyed the receipes alot as everybody were bachelors,who was longing for long time homemade receipes...

PEAS PANNER PULAO
















Ingredients

Peas----2cups(fresh or frozen)
Panner--1cup(cubes)
Rice---4cups(ordinary or basmathi)
Water(hot)--8cups
Greencchillies--4long
Gingergarlicpaste-3tsp
Onion chopped-2cup(lengthwise)
Mint leaves--few
Cloves-3-4
Cinnamon-1 piece
Cardomoms-3
Bay leave -1
Salt-asper taste
Ghee-for aroma
Corriander-for garnishing

Method:
First grind cloves,cinnamon,greenchilles with gingergarlic,keep aside.

Then fry cardomom,bayleaf,onion in oil,slowly add the grinded paste.

Fry till raw flavour disappears,then add peas,panner&mint leaves.

Once it is fried,then start adding rice,fry till it looses its moistureness.

Now add hot water,then add salt.Close the pan,leave for 10-12minutes(2whistle).

Open the pan,once all the pressure settles down.

Add ghee,gently mix once or twice.

Garnish with corriander,serve hot with Any gravy or Chips.
