It is one of my favourite from my college days,i have learnt it from my friends. When i'm back to home from hostel, i start trial on my family members.Sometimes they are scared to be my specimen, but i suprised them with this wonderful snack. They enjoyed it alot...Hope you guys too.

INGREDIENTS

Potato -1 big
Peas(boiled or frozen)10-15numbers
Garam masala powder 1tsp
Chillipowder-1/2tsp
Tumeric powder-1/4tsp
Salt-As per taste
Maida-4tsp
Vermicelli-4-5tsp

METHOD:

First boil the potato and mash it finely with out any lumps.

Now add all the powder except maida and vermicelli to the mashed potato, mix it well.

Divide into eqaul size balls and flat it.

Place3-4 peas on potato patties and close, try to roll it into oval shape ball.

Meantime make an paste of maida(for binding) and just roll the potato balls on this paste

Then on the vermicelli.

Keep the pan, pour oil.Once you feel it has reached right temperature.

Drop one by one ball into the oil and fry till light golden brown and drop on towel(to remove excess oil).

Serve hot with tomato ketch up.

Actually the vermicelli gives appearance like twigs and dry grass,Peas as eggs.Hence i think it should have got this name.

Its very easy and doesn't take much time even.

CARROT.BEANS POOGATH/PORRIYAL

This is my contribution to Pooja's Republic event. Actually it was in my draft, when i felt this receipe set with pooja's criteria like the receipe should have 3colours of our flag. I started posting it immediately.

Carrot-Saffron
Beans -Green
Coconut-White

INGREDIENTS:

Carrot: 2-3
Beans : 15(long size)
Onion :1/2 (small)
Garlic:2-3flakes
Tumeric -a pinch
Salt- As per Taste
Coconut-1tsp

FOR SEASONING:
Mustard sees
Broken urad dhal
Curry leaves
Hing(optional)
Dried red chilly-1 (big)

METHOD:

First season the things given in seasioning column, then add chopped garlic and onion.

Fry till the raw flavour disappears, slowly add both the vegetables and fry for a while.

Then add tumeric and salt, stir it well and pour 1/2cup of water.

Reduce to medium flame and close the pan.

Leave for some 12-15minutes, check inbetween once.

Once you feel it is done, off the stove and spread shredded coconut and stir gently.

You can have this with rotis and rice varieties. As it is combo of 2vegetables, i am sure all genders will enjoy the taste and colour of receipe.
