Once it is fried well, add Turmeric, Kitchen King Masala, Chilli powder, Salt and mix well.

Then drop the soaked rice in pan, fry well, till it looses its moistness.

Now start pouring 4cups of water ,Gently mix and close the pan,put weight..

Keep on medium flame, after 2 whistle off the stove..

Don't open till all the pressure settles down, garnish with mint leaves...

Serve hot with Raita or Chips.

It is delicious , perfect for lazy days...as it can be cooked in very short if you have frozen vegetables handy...

No business of grinding work.... which cuts merely half of our work...isn't it?

From our routine style it was different and tasty ...Kitchen king masala really gives a good taste and flavour to the recipe. I like to thank Seema personally here, because of her only i came to know about this masala

Curry leaves
Jeera
ginger -few bits
Green chilly -1 big
Peppercorns - 5-6

METHOD:

First season the things given in seasoning list and add chopped carrot and peas.(tip:Use more oil)

When you feel the aroma, off the stove, once it get cool mix all the ingredients with yoghurt.

Mix nicely now add a pinch of baking soda, cashew, salt.

Rava idly is good to have while it is hot, adding vegetable will increase our interest on the recipe than having plain one.

GREEN BEANS POOGATH/PORIYAL

Green beans poogath for "G".This my contribution to Nupur's "A to Z of Indian Vegetables" weekly event.

HEALTH BENEFITS:

Green beans are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K and manganese. Plus green beans are very good source of vitamin A (notably through their concentration of carotenoids including beta-carotene), dietary fiber, potassium, folate, and iron. And, green beans are a good source of magnesium, thiamin, riboflavin, copper, calcium, phosphorous, protein, omega-3 fatty acids and niacin.

HOW TO SELECT AND STORE :

If possible, purchase green beans at a store or farmer's market that sells them loose so that you can sort through them to choose the beans of best quality. Purchase beans that have smooth feel and a vibrant green color, and that are free from brown spots or bruises. They should have a firm texture and 'snap' when broken.

Store unwashed fresh beans pods in a plastic bag kept in the refrigerator crisper. Whole beans stored this way should keep for about seven days.

RECIPE:
Ingredients:
Fresh green beans chopped:2cups
Toordhal:2-3tsp
Onion small-1
Garlic-2 flakes
Tumeric-a pinch
Salt- as per taste

For Seasoning:
Mustard
Curry leaves
Broken urad dhal
Dried Red chilly-1

Method:

First season the items given in seasoning list.

Fry garlic and onion. Meantime boil toordhal, tumeric added in microwave for 6-7minutes.

Once onion get fried, add chopped beans, mix well.

Add salt and 1/2cup water, close the lid.

After 15minutes, open and gently mix it...

Once all the moistness is dried, add this drained dhal to the curry, off the stove.

This poogath goes well with sambar rice, dhal rice, curd rice, rotis, almost with all main course. If you want you can add coconut in place of toor dhal.

I like to share the receipes which i tried from our beloved friend's blog.
