BLACK BEAN BURRITO WRAPS

I have tasted Mexican dish after my marriage in Bangalore for the first time.To be frank i can say that i didn't go crazy on it at the first attempt.Later, after coming here i had many times.
And now it has become one among my favourite dishes..Who can say no to TACO BELL..right???

Slowly i started preparing at home sometimes. One good thing i like in this dishes is easy and can be prepared in short time.

INGREDIENTS:

Flour tortillas, warmed-4 4 inch
Vegetable oil -2tsp
Onion, chopped -1/2
Red bell pepper, chopped -1/2
Minced garlic -3 tsp
Black beans, rinsed and drained -2cans(15ounce each)(i used dried one here)
Jalapeno peppers -1/2
Cream cheese - few
Salt- as per taste
Chopped fresh cilantro -1/2cup
Green chillies-2 small(optional)

METHOD:

If you are going to use dried one, soak it over night, boil and drain it..

Heat the oil, cook the onion, red bell pepper, garlic and jalapenos until soft, about 3 minutes.

Grind few boiled beans into paste and added along with the above ingredients

Pour in beans and cook another 3 to 5 minutes.

Add cream cheese, cilantro and salt.

Cook until cheese melts.

Spoon bean mixture down the center of each flour tortilla. Roll up

Thanks.

Hi Anjali,
Yep Anjali, even once i tried in South Indian method,it was good but in none of the way i din't find any difference between our ususal cooking and this..

Then googled in many sites, while i have it out i use to observe and register in brain what are the ingredients they used, texture
etc., tired at home. Its so easy and i'm sure you will enjoy it.
Do try and let me know dear.
